The following week was the infamous protest week in Washington in which everything seemed to fall apart for the Raiders. Most fans seem to point to that game as a turning point. It might have been. But it also could have been the following week in Denver.Carr had been sacked four times in Washington the week before and so he was a bit nervous back there.
